Mission
Serves as the single proponent to provide mission command of all active component Noncommissioned Officer Academies that will deliver the Basic Leader Course, Master Leader Course, and the Battle Staff NCO Course.

Purpose
To be a framework for the collaborative effort with the NCOA commandants and relevant organizations to deliver the Basic Leader Course, Master Leader Course, and the Battle Staff NCO Course.

The U.S. Army and Training and Doctrine Command directed the NCOLCoE to bring all Forces Command NCOAs under a single proponent. The NCOLCoE activated the NCOA Mission Command on October 1, 2016, and is now the proponent for mission command over the following NCOAs: Fort Bliss, Fort Hood, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Fort Stewart, Fort Campbell, Fort Drum, and Fort Bragg.

In addition, the NCOA MC executes the Commandants Pre Command Course three times annually. This course prepares CSM’s to assume positions as Commandants at various NCO academies around the Army and trains all three components of the Army. The NCOA MC also prepares and executes the Commandants Training Counsel twice annually.
