Warrant Officer Class One Wilfredo Majano, from the Belize Defence Force, was born on July 14, 1977 in Orange Walk District, Belize Central America and was raised in Orange Walk Town. He enlisted in the Belize Defence Force on April 4, 1995 and graduated from basic training as the champion recruit. He has since made the Belize Defence Force his career.
Warrant Officer Class One Majano served in the Volunteer Element for 8 years, then was transferred to the Regular Force Element where he has served for the last 17 years. He was posted to training company as a Jungle Welfare Instructor and was later appointed Chief Instructor for the Jungle Wing. He did a tour as the Battalion Quartermaster, Company Sergeant Major and Regimental Sergeant Major for the second Infantry Battalion. Key positions he has held are Force Provost Marshall, Senior Permanent Staff Instructor (SPSI) for the Reserve Elements, and Motor Transport Warrant Officer for the Belize Defence Force.
Warrant Officer Majano’s military and civilian education include the Potential Junior NCO course, Junior NCO Drill Course, Section Commanders Battle Course, Senior NCO Battle Course, Jungle Warfare Instructor Course, Land Navigation Course, Company Quarter Master Course, Senior NCO All Arms Drill Course, and Warrant Officer Course. His international training includes Trade Winds in peacekeeping operations in Antigua and Bermuda in 2003; Advance Platoon Sergeant Course, in North Carolina in 2008; Military Police Investigator Course, Fort Leonard Wood, Kansas, in 2003;.and the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 70, Fort Bliss Texas. He was appointed as the Force Sergeant Major on September 27, 2021.
His decorations include the 15 years Good Service Pin, 20 years Good Service Pin, the MPI international student badge, the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal and the USASMA International student Badge.
Warrant Officer Class One Majano is married and has three children.
