Sergeant Major of the Croatian Army
Command Sergeant Major Goran Turk was born on 13 October 1964 in Našice, Croatia. He completed Army Military Technical School in Zagreb, Advanced NCO Course, Sergeants Major Course (Class 52), and Command Sergeant Major Course at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss, Texas. He is a graduate of the Military Diplomatic School in Zagreb and the Senior NCO Leadership Course in Oberammergau, GER.
Command Sergeant Major Goran Turk has served in positions of increased responsibility from Platoon Commander in the former Yugoslav Army to Logistic Battalion NCO, First Sergeant, Brigade Command Sergeant Major and Command Sergeant Major in Support Command of the Croatian Army. He currently serves as the Sergeant Major of the Croatian Armed Forces.
His awards and decorations include The Order of Croatian Braid, Certificate of participation in the Homeland War 1990-1992, Certificate of the Fatherland Gratitude - for 5 years of distinguished service, Medal for Operation Storm, and Medal for Operation Summer 95.
He is married and has one son.
