SMA KHALYKOV TEMYRBEK

Main Sergeant of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakstan

Master Sergeant Khalykov Temyrbek  Myrzakhanovich, was born on 3 January 1979, in the village of Timurski in the Otrar region, South Kazakhstan. 

Since his graduation as a cadet from the NCO Academy of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan (August 1996 – August 1999) he has served in a myriad of positions. 

He served as Platoon Deputy Commander of Military Unit 07792 (September 1999 - November 1999); Tank Commander of Military Unit 07792 (November 1999 - July 2001); Sergeant of the Motorized Rifle Company, Military Unit 32039 (July 2001 - September 2001); Battalion Sergeant of Military Unit 32039 (September 2001 - June 2005) and Sergeant of Regional Command South (June 2005 - July 2008).  Master Sergeant Khalykov is honored to serve and was selected as the current Main Sergeant of the Armed Forces of the Republic Of Kazakstan in July of 2008. 

His military education after graduation from the NCO Academy of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1999 includes the Company Platoon Sergeant Course, Military Academy of the Armed Forces (2001); Battalion Sergeants Course, Military Academy of the Armed Forces (2004); United States Army Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, Fort Benning, Georgia (2004); and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 58), Fort Bliss, Texas (2008). Master Sergeant Khalykov’s has a Law Degree from the Humanitarian University of South Kazakhstan (2005).

His military awards and decorations include the “Level III Medal for Excellent Service” and the “10th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Medal.

Master Sergeant Khalykov is married to his wife Gaukhar and they have three children, Araylim, Aisha and Enlik.
