Sergeant Major Mohammad Al-smadi

Sergeant Major of the Jordanian Armed Forces

Chief Warrant Officer Mohammad Al-smadi is the Sergeant Major of the Jordanian Armed Forces. He joined the Jordanian military in 1997 as an infantryman and has served with numerous organizations throughout his career.

Chief Warrant Officer Al-smadi has served in every enlisted position including infantryman, Section Leader in the Jordan Language Institute; serving in various assignments within the Directorate of Doctrine and Joint Training; First Sergeant of the 2nd Jordanian Peacekeeping Battalion and as the Sergeant Major of the Jordanian Armed Forces. He was appointed to his current position as the first Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Jordanian Armed Forces in 2011. This is the pinnacle noncommissioned officer appointment in the entire Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Chief Warrant Officer Al-smadi’s military and civilian education includes the Basic Training Course; Combat Lifesaver Course; Small Arms Maintenance Course; Data Entry Skills Course, Basic Infantryman Course: Defense Language Institute English Language Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and is a graduate of the NATO Command Senior Enlisted Leader Course. He also holds a license from UNESCO in International Computer Driver’s License Course.

Chief Warrant Officer Al-smadi’s list of distinguished awards include the United Nations and Jordanian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Medal and the Sincere Service Medal.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Sergeants Major Course, Class 59.
