Leading Sergeant Oyunbold Daribish

Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chief of Defense Mongolian Armed Forces

Leading Sergeant Oyunbold Daribish was born on 1 July 1982, and entered the Mongolian Army on 1 August 1999, as cadet at the Noncommissioned Officer School of the National Defense University, Mongolia. Leading Sgt. Daribish was appointed as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chief of Defense of the Mongolian Armed Forces on 17 March 2015, and continues to serve in that position today.

Throughout his military career, he has served in various assignments including as an instructor driver of APC in Unit 186, a team leader, a squad leader, and a peacekeeping instructor in Unit 150, an English language instructor in the Foreign languages training center, a liaison officer to the United Nations mission in Liberia, a senior enlisted leader in the Air and Air Defense Command, and the senior enlisted advisor to the Chief of Defense, Mongolian Armed Forces.  He also served in the NATO mission in Afghanistan.

Leading Sgt. Daribish’s awards and decoration highlights include the Military Distinguished Service Medal, the Medal for Peace, the UN Medal for Peace, the Medal for Serving the Country III class, NATO ISAF Medal, the Medal for Serving in Afghanistan, and the Medal for Serving in Africa.

Leading Sgt. Daribish’s military and civilian education includes the Noncommissioned Officer School, National Defense University, Mongolia for every NCO Leadership course; the Warrior Leaders Course, US Army, Hawaii; Basic and Advanced English Language Instructor Course at DLIELC, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; the United Nations Staff Officer Course; and the Mongolian National Defense University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the Mongolian Nation Defense University, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Leading Sgt. Daribish is married to the former Mrs. Tsetsgee Dulamsuren and together they have three children including sons, Tselmuun and Irmuun, and daughter Gegeenkhuslen. His hobbies include basketball and hiking.

Leading Sgt. Daribish is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Course Class 61.
