Force Sergeant Maior Roberto Pop

Belize Defence Force

FSM Roberto Pop is from Big Falls Village, Toledo District, Belize Central America. He is the third child of Mr. Feliciano Garcia and Mrs. Alberta Pop. FSM Roberto Pop enlisted in the Belize Defense Force (BDF) on 24 September 1995. He enlisted in the Belize Defence Force

(BDF) immediately after high school. He graduated from basic training at the top of his class and since then made the Belize Defence Force his home.

FSM Pop served as a recruit instructor for four years, then as member of the Reconnaissance Platoon, sections commander, and platoon sergeant and later in his career as Company Sergeant Major and as Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) for first Infantry Battalion. Key positions he held are, Field Intelligence Senior Noncommissioned Officer (FINCO), Senior Permanent Staff Instructor (SPSI) for the reserve element and Force Quartermaster Sergeant (FQMS) responsible for procurement of supplies for the Belize Defence Force.

FSM Pop's military training includes Potential Junior NCO (PJNCO), Section Commanders Course, Senior NCO Course, Jungle Warfare Instructors Course (JWIC), Company Quartermaster's Course (CQMS), and Warrant Officers Course. He also successfully completed several NCO development courses nationally such as, signals and communications course, military and language exchange course, intelligence course and Global Information System

(GIS) course at Galen University. His international training includes the small arms skill at arms (SAA) and sniper course in South Wales United Kingdom and is a graduate of class 64 of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA) Fort Bliss Texas.

FSM Roberto Pop is married to Mrs. Faustina Pop and has two children his daughter Jenna and son Chahiim.
