Command Sergeant Major Curtis C. Koehler was raised in Lyons, Nebraska and began his military career with the Nebraska Army National Guard in 1993 at the age of seventeen. He has been deployed three times overseas; Operation Desert Spring Kuwait (2001), Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005-2006), Operation Enduring Freedom (2010-2011), as well as a domestic mobilization to the Southwest Border Mission (2021-2022).
CSM Koehler has served the Nebraska Army National Guard as a Tank Crew Member-Troop A 1/167th Cavalry, Scout Squad Leader- Troop B 1/167th Cavalry, Supply Sergeant- Troop B 1/167th Cavalry, Battalion S-4 NCO- 734th Transportation Battalion, 402nd Military Police Battalion and 126th Chemical Battalion. He has also served as the Senior Supply NCO- 92nd Troop Command, First Sergeant for the 623rd Engineer Company, G-4 Sergeant Major for Joint Forces Headquarters, as well as the 128th Engineer Battalion Command Sergeant Major in Columbus, Nebraska. CSM Koehler is currently serving as the Commandant of the 1-209th Regiment (NCOA).
CSM Koehler’s completed Non-Commissioned Officer Enlisted schools include Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Company Commander/First Sergeant Pre-command Course, United States Army Sergeants Majors Academy, Battalion Commander/Command Sergeants Major Pre-command Course, as well as the Commandant Pre-command Course. His civilian education includes a Building Construction Associates Degree from Northeast Community College.

1SG Andrew Siemek enlisted into the Nebraska Army National Guard in November 2001, and attended Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he was awarded the Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) 88M, Motor Transport Operator.

SFC Tony Franklin enlisted into the United States Army in 2005 as an 18X (Special Forces Recruit) and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he was awarded the MOS 11B, Infantryman.
SFC Franklin’s military and civilian education includes the following four levels of Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Professional Development System: Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Non-commissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), Senior Leader Course (SLC), and Master Leader Course (MLC).
