Recent Publications

The NCO Leadership Center of Excellence recently published a revised Capabilities Handbook capturing the CoE’s enduring mission of providing professional military education that develops enlisted leaders into holistically fit, disciplined, well-educated professionals capable of meeting the challenges of large-scale combat operations in a multi-domain environment. The revision is a result of the CoE’s examination of its responsibilities and structure resulting in a clear line of effort for every element within the CoE in support of our ability to Develop, Integrate and Deliver education and training readiness. The revised Capabilities Handbook is a “Go To” guide for all to understand the many missions of the NCOLCoE and it support to Soldier lethality and readiness.
The TC provides the Army's NCOs a guide for leading, supervising, and caring for Soldiers. While this guide is not all-inclusive, nor is it intended as a stand-alone document, it provides NCOs a quick and ready reference to refresh and develop leadership traits. The purpose of the TC is to use it as a guide to develop an innovative, competent professional NCOs. NCOs must learn to analyze and evaluate the operational environment to create and apply an understanding of the changing world that confronts them. The TC provides critical information for the success of today's NCO and is intended for use by all the NCOs in the Active Army Component, the Army National Guard, and the Army Reserve Component.

The Halberd

The NCO Center of Excellence released the sixth level of the Distributed Leader Course on March 1, 2020. DLC educates 7 "Series" to perform senior-level duties at brigade and higher-level positions throughout today’s operational environment (OE).
The Noncommissioned Officer Leadership Center of Excellence (NCOLCoE) and the Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA) Fellowship Program targets Sergeants Major who have demonstrated the potential and a strong desire to be an educator of future Sergeants Major.
