Sergeant Major of the Army for SAF Singapore
Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Chua Hock Guan enlisted into the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) on 14 June 1989. He is a Combat Engineer by vocation, specializing in bridging and explosive ordnance disposal. He serves with pride and distinction throughout his illustrious career.
He attended and graduated from SMC Class 55 from June 2005 to June 2006. CWO Chua is appointed as the Sergeant Major of the Army for SAF on 15 March 2019 and has served honorably in SAF for more than 30 years.
He is a central driving force in shaping the roles of the Singapore Army's Warrant Officers, Specialists, junior Military Experts and Enlistees to meet operational demands; and developing them to fulfil these roles and responsibilities. He also emphasizes the importance of anchoring decisions and actions on strong values to ensure that the Warrant Officers, Specialists, and junior Military Experts remain relevant in an ever-changing environment.
