Sergeant Major of the UAE Land Forces Hassan Ali Kaidi Karam was selected by the UAE Land Forces Commander as the 2d UAE Land Forces Sergeant Major of the Land Forces on October 2019. CSM Hassan has held every leadership position in the Land Forces from Armor Crewman to Command Sergeant Major.

CSM Hassan joined the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces on 1 September 1993. He graduated from the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces Recruit Course in 1995 and attended his initial specialty training as an Armor crewman. CSM Hassan's assignments prior to selection as the Sergeant Major of the Land Forces include: Combat Group Command Sergeant Major, Company Sergeant Major, BMP Tactics Instructor, and Senior Instructor at Land Forces Infantry School, Land Forces Institute.

CSM Hassan is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Course, Class #69, NCO Leadership Center of Excellence, Fort Bliss, Texas. He is the first noncommissioned officer of the UAE Armed Forces that graduated from the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. CSM Hassan is pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Homeland Security.

His awards and decorations include: Distinguished Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and Distinguished Instructor Certificate.
