Command Senior Enlisted Sergeant Major NATO Headquarters of Allied Joint Force Command Naples

Command Sergeant Major Hans Juergen Stark was born in Saarlouis, Saarland near the French border on July 17, 1967. He joined the German Army, SIGINT and EW Branch, in January 1987. In 1994, he was selected for a regular appointment. He achieved the rank of Sergeant Major in July 2011.

Command Sergeant Major Hans Juergen currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Sergeant Major at the NATO headquarters of Allied Joint Force Command Naples (JFCNP) located in Naples, Italy. CSM Stark trained countless U.S. officers and non-commissioned officers (NCOs) during his time as a liaison Sergeant Major at Fort Huachuca, Arizona from May 2002 to June 2006. His dedication and remarkable professionalism marked him as the consummate team player. His many contributions to the Soldiers and families of Fort Huachuca earned him the respect of all. He became an honorary member of the "Sergeant Audie Murphy Club" on June 15 for demonstrating dedicated leadership and exemplary NCO professionalism.

CSM Stark graduated from the U.S. Army Sergeants' Major Academy in May 2008 and served as a faculty advisor/instructor from May 2011 to June 2014 in the Department of Leadership. His integrity and devotion to duty serve as a true testament to his genuine concern and care for Soldiers and his outstanding leadership abilities.

He reported as CSEL to JFCNP in February 2017 where he leads with distinction and sets a great example for every NCO to emulate. His dedication to our NATO mission and genuine care for our personnel is second-to-none. He is extremely resourceful and possesses tremendous negotiation skills. He uses his talents very effectively while interacting with the many civilian and military personnel from all 29 nations serving here at JFC Naples. He also established formidable links and personal relations throughout the entire HQ and more widely within the NATO community. Throughout this time, he worked tirelessly to deliver an exceptional level of service, not only to the enlisted members, but across the entire HQ.
